Before taking this test, read the following instructions.
These are general instructions for all electronics evaluation tests developed by Tecat Enterprises.
Most of the items will be applicable to you.

· This test measures your understanding of electronics concepts. It is therefore important you to show your work  whenever possible.

· Make sure that you read the questions carefully so that you understand what is been asked.

· The space allocated to answer some questions may seem limited. You should have enough room provided you   make your answers short and to the point. The use of abbreviations and symbols is also encouraged.

· Print your answers if your handwriting is difficult to read.
What cannot be read cannot be evaluated.

· Some questions may have several different methods of solution.
Unless specified, it does not matter which method you are using as long as the answers are sensible ( i.e. they are  realistic and make sense).

· If you are asked to change or to modify a circuit, note that any resistor, capacitor, or inductor value on a circuit  can be replaced by any combination of components equal to the original value. (For instance a 10 kOhms
resistor can be replaced by three resistors in series 2 kOhms, 3 kOhms, and 5 kOhms.)
Also, to modify a circuit, you are allowed to add extra components and devices.
Never change the designated component values ( e.g., if Rc = 2 kOhms , the value has to remain 2 kOhms ).

· If you are having difficulties in solving or answering a particular question, take a look at other questions of the   same topic. This may help you to answer that question.

· There are no restrictions in the use of calculators.
